Supervision Groups with Laura Bradley
New Groups Start in August and September
Laura Bradley is excited to offer two new supervision groups in 2020. Each supervision group is for 4 consecutive, monthly meetings. You can choose between starting in August or September.
Laura has worked in counselling since 1992, as a Registered Counselling Supervisor and a Master Therapeutic Counsellor, and would love to share her expertise with you. She truly believes that each counsellor comes into supervision with their own knowing and expertise. She works collaboratively to support counsellors to tap into their knowledge and provides practical tools based on her years of counselling and supervision experience.
Laura has found group supervision to be an integral part of being a healthy therapist. Putting time aside to reflect and share her thoughts and feelings with a group of peers continues to be a place of growth and self care for her as a professional counsellor.
- First group meeting will be August 19th, 1:30pm-3:30pm
- Future dates to be announced for September, October and November
- First group meeting will be September 15th, 9:30am-11:30am
- Future dates to be announced for October, November and December
Limit: 4 participants per group
Meetings are held online via Zoom with the same group participants each month (i.e. no drop-ins).
One or two people present or share a client case and then the group and Laura give feedback based on what the counsellor is looking for.
There’s also the opportunity to address a specific topic, determined by the group’s needs or wishes, such as:
- working with clients who have a challenging time feeling their feelings,
- high conflict couples,
- depression/lack of affect, and
- anxiety/or hyper arousal.
The meetings are two hours and you can claim the full two hours as supervision.
$150 per meeting, payable in advance of each meeting via etransfer
Expression of Interest
Contact Laura at email@example.com to express your interest in participating in Group Supervision. Even if these start dates might not work for you, let Laura know you’re interested. Additional groups may be added in the fall.
“When I entered private practice, Laura was the first person I contacted for supervision. Laura always asks great questions that support me to be in the best position to support my clients. I know that Laura will be mindful of considering my ethical and legal responsibilities, as well my therapeutic goals. She offers a great perspective and real ability to help me move forward with clients I am feeling stuck or unsure of. Each time I complete a supervision session with Laura I feel re-inspired; whether to try something I hadn’t considered before or to relax in knowing that I am on track. She makes private practice less scary.” – C.B.
