Katrina is a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor (RTC #2086) with the Association for Cooperative Counselling Therapist of Canada (ACCT); she is a graduate of the Clearmind Counsellor Practitioner Program and has a diploma in Transpersonal Counselling Psychology.

Katrina creates a safe and nurturing environment for couples and individuals to explore emotional pain, trauma and ‘stuckness.’  She approaches each session with warmth and a  soft, open heart.  She has great facility with helping clients untangle old stories and unhealthy patterns in order to make room for new, values-directed choices to land.  She brings all of her nurturing wisdom and humour to create sessions full of hope and encouragement.

Katrina has been an assistant teacher for Level One PRAC Counsellor Training program Clearmind International 2014-15 as well as assistant teaching the Level Two PRAC Counsellor Training program 2015-2016.

Katrina is a proud mother of three daughters 20, 22 and 23, making her well-versed and passionate about the transition from teenage stages of development to young adulthood. She and her husband Kevin (another Steadfast Counsellor!) have been married for 28 years.

Her enthusiasm is obvious and she considers it a great honour to provide an environment in which to help clients navigate their way through their own struggle and develop a sense of ownership and empowerment.

Therapeutic Approach

Her Therapeutic approach utilizes a unique blend of a number of different disciplines including Bowen Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Gestalt, as well as a Transpersonal Perspective. She will encourage you to explore many different areas of your life and integrate them, all the while helping you align with your counselling goal. In a non-judgmental and supportive environment, Katrina will help you to move forward from old patterns and develop a productive, positive, life-enriching action plan.
